This Energy Star® program, administered by CenterPoint Energy and Oncor, seeks to reduce peak demand and increase residential energy savings through the increased sale of Energy Star homes. This program is considered a market transformation program as it seeks to transform the residential new construction market by increasing consumers' awareness of Energy Star® homes and the demand for such homes. The program also attempts to increase builder's ability and willingness to construct Energy Star® homes.
Guarantee Home Program

This program is a new residential construction program administered by Tucson Electric Power (TEP) Company. The program was designed to produce high-performance homes that are safe, healthy, comfortable, durable, and affordable by using the most current and efficient home building technologies available. Training and technical assistance is provided by TEC throughout the entire construction process, from design to completion.
Village Homes Davis, California

A housing development that incorporated energy-efficient and passive solar housing design, efficient land use, urban agriculture, and pedestrian/bike ways. Development designs included narrow streets, alternative run-off systems that rely on a system of streams and ponds, and orchards and vineyards coexisting with housing.
Green Building Program Austin Energy

Operated and funded by Austin Energy, this program rates the sustainability of new construction homes and buildings. As a basis of its rating scale, it considers energy conservation, water conservation, sustainable materials, health and safety, and community. It is also a community resource that promotes sustainable building through consumer marketing and education, and through professional training and technical assistance.
Design 2000 Plus

This program administered by National Grid offers numerous rebates and incentives for commercial buildings to install energy efficient equipmentin new construction, renovation, remodeling, and failed equipment replacement.
Energy Conscious Construction

This program is collaboratively offered by Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) and Western Massachusetts Electric Company (WMECO). It reduces the capital and operating expenses in new commercial buildings and major renovations by helping commercial customers develop the required energy-savings upgrades. The program was also designed to remove the market barriers that prevent energy efficiency measures from being implemented and in doing so, will often pay the added cost for the more efficient system.

Operated by Xcel Energy and the Weidt Group, this program was started to achieve demand and energy savings in new commercial construction through energy-efficiency building strategies. The program encourages "whole building" or "integrated" designs and provides information, funding, and design strategies to designers and building owners at the beginning of the design process.
